yes the wild chain is weird, but it's also not strong enough to kill anything by itself.
a wild blow with no drawback at the right time will kill a monk with ease.
nightfall and up all suck because of powercreep skills with no drawback let's not add to that. Wild Blow doesn't need buffed, it's a fairly balanced skill that serves a good purpose depending on the meta, with a good drawback that rewards good timing on the player's part.

SA chain is still ridiculous pressure, it's just not used much because the mentality of most RA sins is to either run something retarded that doesn't work or a spike.

That indeed, and the build works best with some support backline (SoH smite for example). Without disruption it's hard to survive in RA because you automatically eat everything they throw at you.

Indeed, do not base skill changes on OPish skills...

What is the flavor of the month now and days? I haven't played RA in a while and I'm gonna try it out (if my 5200 can handle it) for a bit.

idd hexes + a bit of physical pressure = win
because those rtards attack trough empathy, vor, and cast spells trough backfire (god i love when that happenes xD)
the only one who brings hex removal is the monk.. and he is busy healing others aswell. while frontline attacks trough empathy and midline trough backfire xD
Hex Story: I cast VoR + Empathy on a Sin, then the Sin almost kills himself trying to kill me (like most Sins do), so I Power Spike his Shadow Refuge for the easy kill.
As long as noobtards fill RA, Hexes will always be strong.

And people really wonder why I was running 2 hex removals on my assassin. He speaks truth though- Mesmers are easily the strongest class in RA right now. Only thing potentially stronger is a Ranger who's interrupt-camping the enemy Mesmer, but good luck waiting for a good Ranger.

[dismember][symbolic strike][signet of judgment][rush][frenzy][purge signet][bull's strike][resurrection signet]
14 axe, 13 strength, 3 smite
Only 1 skill different than what I posted last time, actually. But purge signet has been winning me games this weekend. Lots of -30's and -40's when i use purge on my monk after a mes unloads his shit on him.

The things currently pwning the weekend:
Mo/W Fortress WoH and Mo/A kiteway WoH for obvious reasons.
A/( N/Mo )Caster sin with crippling dagger added to the bar. With all the anti melee shit and melee shit it seems castersin is proving to be a safe way to go to get uninterrupted spikes that actually kill.
Me/whatever VoR. Because its overpowered and eats the bonus weekend increase of PvE noobs for breakfast.
Ne/whatever FF/PS/CE/WoD. Because its overpowered.
Magebane Ranger. Because its the only friggin way to counter all the above shit these days.
Sync teams exploiting the obscure asian districts because they are lamers. Unless of course they get me on their team since I have been going to those districts as my Unyielding Aura monk for the sole pleasure of trolling them. ( I recommend everyone give it a try. Its friggin awesome. Hide yourself while in the RA outpost so they dont know you are there and think its safe to sync. Utter win. )

Mo/W is certainly FotM when it comes to monks, but what do you guys carry on Mo/As nowadays? i haven't played ninja WoH in a while - i'm guessing Return alone doesn't cut it? my old bar was the one straight off of wiki:
14 Heal, 11 Prot, 9 Div, 2 Shadow
Patient Spirit, Word of Healing, Draw Cond., Guardian, Mend Touch, Spirit Bond, Veil, Return
et tu, Brute?

No, it doesn't.
Mo/W, take off Draw, SB and Return for defensive warrior stances. Or other tanking shit. As a monk in RA, you'll get hit with everything from everyone in the oppossing team. I've seen a couple of peeps running Kinetic Armor, Healer's Covenant and Vigorous Spirit, and you'd be surprised how well it performs considering how most people just bashes at monks without seeing what they're using.

Good discussions above. I ran into something mean the other day in RA, so i had a go at it myself and was amazed at how strong it is:
My take on it was a Derv/Para with
Ebon Dust Aura (e)
Mystic Regen
Heart of Fury
Barbed Spear
Disrupting Throw
Spear of Redemption
Holy Spear
Res Sig
and oh my god, talk about turning physicals into a waste of time, blind on 4 ppl constantly if so desired? Yes please. yum yum nom nom. I did have wild blow instead of holyspear but the additional pressure of the latter is far better at hurting monks then taking their stance. Can anyone tell me whats the point of an Ele blind bot when this can be run instead? The only thing that killed this build was a blured vision hex.
Thoughts any other options on this? I tried with a ranger but it just didnt work as smoothly.

There isn't. That, my good sir, is the most GOREDENGINE annoying build next to pre-nerf SoM mesmer that was ever invented. The only thing you can do is dodging barbed, else you're f*cked :P.

ff+plague sending>ebon dust
CE+rip ench>ebon dust
pain of disench (not like anyone runs it tho)>ebon dust
rend enchantements>ebon dust
without that u can pretty much /resign tho, unless u got a mel resilience monk in ur team or no physicals.

Plague sending will lose out to Spear or Redemption.
Yes enchant removal will work, having two other enchants allows cover and if someone's gonna rip em all off under 20seconds recharge aint gonna be a game breaker.
I have experianced all the above and its not /resign as you put it. Blured vision was a different story of course! Thanks for informing me its an old build, but it was new to me !
